The Amerikooler QF061277**FBSM-O outdoor walk-in freezer is a quick-ship unit, meaning it’s constructed based on pre-engineered dimensions to eliminate the need for operators to create a custom walk-in. Great for businesses unable to accommodate an indoor walk-in freezer, this 11-foot-91⁄4-inch-wide by 5-foot-105⁄8-inch-deep by 7-foot-7-inch-tall unit is designed to withstand outdoor use. Its wall, ceiling, and floor panels are made of 4-inch-thick AK-XPS4 insulation that provides an R-32 thermal resistance value and creates a sturdy structure. The wall and ceiling panels’ interiors and exteriors are laminated with stucco-embossed, 26-gauge Acrylume® coated with corrosion-resistant acrylic paint. These panels can be secured together with the corrosion-resistant cam-action locking system and compression gaskets.
The floor panels are finished with smooth aluminum that provides a sleek, even surface, and to accommodate regular foot traffic, the floor can support an evenly distributed load of 600 pounds per square foot. Inside the walk-in, an LED light above the door jamb illuminates the area, while a digital thermometer provides an easy-to-read LED temperature display. Because it’s built with super cam-rise spring-assisted hinges, a door closer, a three-sided magnetic gasket, and a temperature-controlled heater wire, the 76-inch-tall entrance door opens smoothly and closes with a frost-free seal. As the door is opened, the heated pressure relief vent above the door jamb reduces built-up pressure from warm air. Operators can lock the entrance door’s keyed deadbolt handle, and if employees become locked inside the unit, they can exit using the safety release mechanism.
To maintain a box temperature of -10 degrees Fahrenheit, the Amerikooler QF061277**FBSM-O outdoor walk-in freezer is equipped with the Heatcraft Bohn PT0069LBTEMSA PRO3 refrigeration unit. This 58-inch-wide by 521⁄2-inch-deep by 403⁄4-inch-tall unit can be mounted on top of the walk-in and shouldn’t be installed in environments that exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Its microchannel coil technology minimizes energy and refrigerant usage, while its two-speed evaporator fan motor and electric defrost mechanism enhance efficiency.
