Amerikooler QC101272**NBRC Description
Ideal for establishments with available level tile or concrete flooring, the Amerikooler QC101272**NBRC indoor walk-in cooler is a floorless quick-ship model measuring 11 feet 91⁄4 inches wide by 9 feet 93⁄4 inches deep by 7 feet 21⁄4 inches tall. Although it ships unassembled, it comes with an installation kit that includes instructions, a shop drawing, hex wrench for cam-lock panel assembly, and PVC press fit caps to facilitate setup. Its modular wall and ceiling panels can be connected with its cam-action locking system and compression gaskets for a secure, airtight fit. Both panels are comprised of 4-inch-thick AK-XPS4 insulation that establishes a sturdy structure and provides R-29 thermal resistance in 55-degree-Fahrenheit environments to retain generated temperatures. For durability, the panel interiors and exteriors are laminated with stucco-embossed 26-gauge Acrylume® zinc aluminum, which is coated with corrosion-resistant acrylic paint.
To maintain a box temperature of 35 degrees Fahrenheit, the Amerikooler QC101272**NBRC walk-in cooler comes with the Heatcraft Bohn BCH0009MBACZA0000-BEL0105AS6AMAB0400 remote refrigeration system with an electronically commutated (EC) motor. This air-cooled unit should be installed in areas that don’t exceed 95 degrees Fahrenheit to enhance efficiency, and to facilitate installation, it ships preassembled and prewired. Its 2463⁄100-inch-wide by 281⁄4-inch-deep by 193⁄4-inch-tall painted steel cabinet resists corrosion and features a hinged door that can be removed without tools for access to interior components when maintenance is required. Like other Heatcraft Bohn condensing units, this system comes with microchannel coils that reduce refrigerant usage and energy consumption.
Staff can access the walk-in’s interior via the 76-inch-tall hinged, flush-mounted entrance door, while its spring-assisted cam-rise hinges can be adjusted to ensure the door opens smoothly. To reduce the chance of temperature fluctuations and deter pests, the door is built with a door closer and three-sided magnetic gaskets to ensure a secure closure. Inside the walk-in, an LED light is center-mounted above the door jamb to illuminate the area and provide full visibility of inventory; its digital thermometer provides an easy-to-read LED display. Rather than floor panels, this unit includes a 1⁄2-inch-radius vinyl screed that can be lag fastened to the floor. The door’s keyed deadbolt handle can be locked during non-business hours, and to provide a way for users to exit the cooler, a safety release mechanism is built into the box.
